Our beautiful, old Logandale Chapel burned down today. It is a total loss. Kyle was able to help our bishop and others get some things out of the church that weren't ruined.
This month in Primary we are learning the song, "How Firm a Foundation". What a message to have this month. The foundation IS firm. The Church is true. Nothing will change for us except that we will share a building with other wards for a while. Then, in several months, we will have a beautiful, new building. The church runs like a well-oiled machine. We know that we will have Sacrament Meeting this week, just like every other week...though in a different building. We know that the money we have all paid in tithing will go to help rebuild our church. The work goes on!
We are blessed to have many wonderful memories from the old building. It has so much history and we were blessed to have a little bit of our history there. Ansley and Nate were baptized there and Eli and Claire were blessed there. Plus, lots of Primary activities and programs, ward parties, Relief Society dinners, etc. The list goes on and on. We are sad, but excited for what will come.

Well said. I love the irony of the hymn we are learning in primary to all of this. You got some good pictures of it, but I am so sad to see our little primary room.
I went by it yesterday but I didn't go in. I can't believe those pictures. Thank you for sharing the pictures and your thoughts. It is so sad...
It makes me so sad to see our beautiful church that way. But you are so right we do have a Firm foundation and we all have each other. We are so blessed to have the gospel.
