Nate and Josh before leaving for the bus. Nate is in 5th grade this year...his last year of elementary school. He is enjoying it, but has a lot of homework! Josh is in 2nd grade and he really likes his teacher. He is thrilled that his best friend, Trey, is in his class. They have already been in trouble for talking too much in class...naughty, naughty.
Ansley is in 7th grade this year, which hardly seems possible because I was just in 7th grade...wasn't I? She likes most of her classes, but is already overwhelmed by the dreaded Pre-Algebra!!!
The cheerleaders performed at the back to school assembly on the first day of school.
***The first day of school is a blur and I am lucky to have these couple of pictures because that is the day that Claire ended up in the hospital. See previous posting.
First Day of Preschool!!!
The week after school started for the "big kids", Eli started preschool. He is going to the same preschool that Josh did 2 years ago. Eli LOVES it. He was unsure about it the first day, but quickly got over it and now begs to go to school EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! He goes 2 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. I can't believe he is old enough to go to preschool! Where have the past 4 years gone? He looked so big in his school clothes...it brought a tear to my eye.
**FOOTBALL SEASON**
Nate's little league football team had their first game last Saturday. They play in a Southern Utah league and they are the only Nevada team. They played a team from St. George (Dixie Blue) in St. George and CREAMED them. Nate's team won 50 - 0!!
Kyle giving Nate some tips on the sideline.
The offensive line. Nate is the starting right tackle. Look at the stance...he's a natural!!!
Nate is so thrilled to be playing football and has been working his butt off! They practice 3-4 nights a week for 2 hours, plus games on Saturday. It is still blazing hot here and I can't imagine doing what he is doing. What a tough kid!
That's better...
Claire is doing great! Her platelet count is normal which means the IVIG is still working. We take her in to have her blood drawn once a week and then we will see the hematologist again when it has been 4 weeks since the IVIG (in about 2 more weeks). The IVIG should work for 4-6 weeks. For now, she is totally fine and keeping us on our toes with all of her climbing and running!
*We also celebrated Kyle's birthday on the 1st. I didn't take any pictures. We had a bbq and of course, cake and ice cream. Kyle and I were also able to go to lunch. I hope it was a nice day for him. He does so much for our family...usually with no thanks. He is a great husband and dad. I am not sure how I got so lucky!

what a trip to see ansley in that #&@%! um. cheerleader outfit? huh? cute school pics. funny helmet antics. glad claire is doing better. stella is sitting here with me. i showed her eli (her betrothed) and asked her who it was. she thought it was my nephew spencer (who she is currently obsessed with). i told her it was eli and she got so excited. she then spotted a picture of claire and said 'oh! there's claire!'. it was so cute.
You have such an awesome family. I love Claire's "hat" it looks cute. Nate looks all grown up in his football gear, and Ansley-she makes a cute cheerleader! We need to have Eli come play.
